BOV vacuum hose thickness

I switched the vaccum line on my blow off valve to a smaller hose because I redid some of the vacuum line. It used to be run off one of the bigger nipples near the throttle body, but now I'm running it off the back of the intake manifold. So I downsized the fitting off the bov and the hose.

Now I noticed my blow off valve is letting off more air sooner. It's even letting out air at idle. I thought it should be closed at idle, no?

Oh yeah, the adjustment is tightened to the max. It's a Vortech racing bov I bought from a friend that was using it on his supercharger setup. Should work the same, no?

the throttle body vaccum ports are only two sizes. one large for the oil metering pump system. and 5 others for the inj air bleed(2) and pcv sys and secondary throttle. (3). the bov is tapped into the outside of the lower intake manifold. there are two niples if you have the asv. one if not. the map senor goes in one and the bov in the other.
