BOV in FC?
how do we install an aftermarket BOV in an s4 TII?
|
What kind of BOV did you get? Did it come mounted on a pipe?
From the passenger side of the TMIC, there's a pipe that runs down and it usually goes there. For more reference there is a large rubber those that bends 90 degree onto the pipe I'm talking about. |
Mine was pretty easy. i got a blitz SS BOV of ebay from some guy who had it on his FC. so it was a direct bolt up. i kinda jimmy rigged blocking the TID with a 20oz bottel cap:D but other than that it is direct bolt up. just make sure you get all of your vacum lines hooked up right.

oh i haven't purchased one yet...
anyone have any pictures of the installation? |
its actually really easy once you get started. I don't think you'll need a walkthrough. :D

If you snag one of the ones on ebay that comes with the piping for an FC, you just bolt it in place, and plug up the lines that are no longer used (such as the return to the TID)

look at the pipe on this one .. it will probably fit perfect :) i also recomend the seller if your interested in that one. you just take that one and put it in the stock position and block of the hole you will have to the recirculation hole, done ... PTZHEEEEEEEEE /bo |
Get a kit.
GReddy has one. Others offer drop in kits for the FC3S. -Ted |
i just cut a hole in the tb elbow rubber peice with a dremel, put it in there and sealed it with some stuff and i have a peice of wire holding it down so it wont go anywhere. im cheap, what can i say ;)

The turbo XS type S requires virtually no modification to install..

Can I please get some pics because I bought a TII and its all apart. The guy used to have a blitz SS BOV but took it off, and ive never even seen how the stock setup goes. I have a turboxs RFL and dont even have a clue to which pipe it should go or what. Can someone please enlighten me?
