boost sensor vac lines
 

im removing my rats nest, but im not sure how to hook up the boost sensor. where is the best place to hook it up? ive heard on the UIM nipple, with the BOV, but does it make a differnce? also, there are two vac lines on it, how do i run the lines to it?

one more question: do i need to relocate my battery with the new greddy fmic kit?

theres two lines... does the air just go through the boost sensor? do i put it in series or parallel with other components?

first, you probably will need to relocate battery for fmic, possible p/s interference too, search site. lots of people have that kit here

second, I'm not exactly sure what your talking about w/ the "2 lines" and whatever so I'll say this...
-hook pressure sensor up to any vacuum source in intake manifold AFTER throttle plates. my manifold has a nipple that points towards sensor that I used.
-you can "tee" the lines off and hook them up with other components. I prefer to give each component its own vacuum source since there are plenty of them and I think they get better signals that way
-good idea to put the "pill" or a "restriction" in the boost sensor vacuum line. search if you dont know what I mean
-I have 5 vacuum lines on my car... pressure sensor, FPR, BOV, wastegate, and brake booster (I have one that runs from source right behild throttle plates to the nipple between primary injectors too of you want to count that)

hmmm... then what the hell is the solinoid looking thing with two vac lines running too it? its located by the vac rack solinoids. i thought for sure the pressure sensor and boost sensor were differnt.

The S5 TII has a Pressure Sensor mounted on the pass side shock tower and an electronic boost control solenoid mounted next to the oil filler neck near the vac rack solenoids.

okay, thats what im talking about then, the boost control soleniod. im hooking up my boost controller, so can i just take it completly off?
