boost controller vs turbo timer?

wat is this differece between the 2? and does ne one have etiuerh to sell or both... i need to know what the diff is i think boost controller controls how much psi of boost u cant push by turning it up and down... wat else and how low can u turn it down? do u need both of them to have successful turbo? and does turbo timer allow u to time ur turbo so u can change when turbo???

OMG.

First. learn to spell. Internet stupid typing doesnt go over well here. Its probably why your easy ass question hasnt been answered yet.

Second. A turbo-timer keeps the engine running after you have turned the ignition off for a set period of time to keep oil moving through the turbo in order to prevent coking in the turbo. It increases turbo life by a lot for most owners who will abuse their car then just shut it off without a cool down.

A boost controller does exactly what its name implies. It controls boost. It does it by limiting the boost seen by the wastegate until boost reaches a certain level, then it opens up and allows the waste gate to see pressure. A boost controller can only lower boost to the pressure than the wastegate spring is set at. After that the wastegate is in complte control because the boost controller opens before the wastegate does.

And before anyone else can say it: Use the search button.

LOL you're getting flamed... that sucks that you can't turn your boost down with the boost controler.

turbo timer adjust the vtec solenoids to make sure they dont stick open at 8200. while the boost controller controls the amount of radiator fluid flowing through the cooling hoses .. i.e. "boosting" it through the engine.

hope that helped out.

People like this should never own rx7's, they not only give them a bad name, but contribute to the 'unrealiable' stereotype of the rotary.
