There are a couple ones that I think are attractive. It all depends on what your definition of "attractive" is, though.

www.mazdatrix.com has one
www.corksport.com has a bunch.
www.rx7store.net has a bunch, too, although they have more FD kits than FC kits.

Whats your definition of rice? Anything that makes your car look better? Personally I would like to get a bodykit for my car, but Id rather spend my $$ on making it faster/handle better. As long as the kit isnt crazy retarded looking, I have no problem with it.

oh and I like having things on the car that improove performance on the road not in the eyes. Unless you have a lot of HP to back up a body "KIT" I would not bother. My personal limit would be a min. of 250 whp before I look at a kit and that is not happening withough a bridge or a prei port so my Sport is staying stock and with a funtional AERO package :)

Santiago

PS- If you buy a car that needs to be made BETTER LOOKING then you bought the wrong car( Honda anyone? lol) I peronaly love the FC and for that matter all 7's the way they look STOCK there is no need for improvement unless some performance can be attained from it.

EDIT: Do what you will with your own car and money but don't expect me to like it I am entittled to disagree with your oppinion of what looks good. ;)

word, word and more word. all those tards buying civics thinking theyre sports cars, when they could just save the money they waste on all the rice crap and just buy a real one.

Raptorchef 06-07-03 01:55 PM

RX-7 dont need a body kit....I dont even understand the point...I mean sure it looks neat but...think of the cost...low end body kit maybe $5k.....plus to paint....depends how ya do that...$700....$1500....Man you could get a new spankin engine for that much money.

Dltreezan 06-07-03 03:03 PM

ah here we go again.....to the top left corner there is a search button........and if ur lookin for a custom hood lemme know....;)

Dltreezan 06-07-03 03:04 PM

to right....my bad...lool

AngelSlide 06-07-03 03:06 PM

well its an individuality thing i mean whats wrong with lookin nice as well as perfoming well. and some kit makers actually wind tunnel test their kits to improve air flow around the vehilce and reducing drag.

Well the FC already looks good and is rare enough to look individual enough to make people ask wha car it is.

Like I said its your choice but I don't like it unless it makes your car perform better. If you can show me one KIT that was tunnel tested and improves the aerodynamics of the car then I would consider it but why the hell do I want to spend money on some kit that just makes the car heavier and makes me spend enough money to buy a NEW engine. The body kit would be the last item on my list of things to do for my car. The FC already has a good drag number i think it is .31 and with the Sport aero package .29 :D

Perty good for an 80's car huh?

i agree...i like stock fc lines but hey man.....some people want to have a special car thats even more special....now some kits out there are rice...but if you do it right it can look good.....but then again i have seen some kits that i wouldnt wipe my ass with.......so the way i see it.....is if you want a kit and you have the desire...make one yourself....so thats what i plan on doing and if people like them then ill think about selling a few

Bad2ndgen 06-07-03 07:01 PM

Do what you want to your car dude! You did pay for it!
I do think having power to back up the looks should be accomplished first but it is your car. I just got my GP sports kit after waiting four months and my fc has never looked so good. Oh and I have 18's wich all these haters think are to big for an fc. Do what you want! Im also painting my Anny, edition a colour other than white!! Do what you want dude!

Dan H 06-07-03 09:12 PM

Hey, its his money...

For my FC (S4), the only kit I'd put on is an S5 kit. :D

Or if I had an S5, I'd leave it stock with maybe a small front lip. Thats about it though.

btsnook 06-07-03 09:18 PM

performance is taken care of...

the performance end of my machine is already well taken care of, im not really too worried about the extra weight a kit would add, or how efficient it is at pushing air out of the way as the poor old rotary has been pulled and replaced by a newer, more powerful, more reliable, more fuel efficient...V8 SBC!!!!!!!

so as you can tell i dont have to worry about every gram of weight added or a little more wind resistance like someone with the mazda engine. thanks everyone for the links but i agree with the part about the kits being over priced theyre fucking outargeous. i might eventually end up buying one though. personally i dont like the way the fc looks. the fd is another story though...

vectorminds 06-07-03 09:52 PM

why did you buy an fc if you dont like the way it looks and you dont like its engine? :wtf:

Which was my point in quoting myself. I would like to keep the engine swap argument out of this though so please will both sides act like adults and not flame anyone. Thanks

Santiago

vectorminds 06-07-03 10:05 PM

Not flaming, just confused, as to why btsnook decided on an fc if it wasnt for either the engine or the body... maybe the handling?

(I was thinking about a v8 swap for a while too... so i cant really say anything negative about that :tonque: i miss having torque )

although the reason i bought my vert was because i loved the way it looks and handles

1987RX7guy 06-07-03 10:08 PM

I was just saying that your comment and mine aswell might be used to start up another argument which I don't care to be part of or have to defend anything.

Santiago

vectorminds 06-07-03 10:14 PM

agreed... personaly i think some of the body kits look ok on our cars.... never seen a picture of one on a vert though, so i wouldnt be able to decide if id ever want one...

ForsakenRX7 06-07-03 10:14 PM

Whats so wrong about a nicely done aero kit on an FC? As long as its not all multicolored with graphics, stickers, and neons I say go for it. Personally I like corksport's type II knock off kit. That kit with with the fender flares to add some wider rims. Stock Brilliant Black paint with black 17 inch 5 stars with the polished lip. Yea that would look good IMO. But thats the point. Its my car and my opinion, as your car is yours as well as your opinion. Custom and rice ride a fine line, and the definition is blurred nowadays but I think we all know what definite rice is.

ForsakenRX7 06-07-03 10:18 PM

By the way, 1987RX7guy, I love it when you post, cause I get to stare at your avatar. :D
