blown motor, suggestions for rebuild?

So I was coming back from a short cross country in my '91 N/A coupe when at about 60mph, I gunned it and lost power. Managed to get it off the highway, but now it wont start. Pretty sure it's a blown apex seal.

I am going to have a motor built by the Rotary Doctor in Neosho, MO.

I was wondering what suggestions you guru types had for upgrading the car for "spirited street driving" while I am at it. I don't autocross or drag, though drifting could be fun if I could afford tires once a month.

So far here's the list I have based on my limited knowledge:

street port
homemade cold air intake (PVC pipe, etc.)
some sort of exhaust upgrade
lightweight flywheel

I know there's more I should think about, but what?

I already have a great battery and just put a new ACT heavy duty clutch in her.
