Blew EGI fuse

I was driving to work today, and blew my egi fuse. I got a new one, put it in and it started to fire up, but I guess it blew the fuse right as it started, so it wouldn't start. I guess there is a short somewhere. Anybody know where it could be? What all connects to the fuse? I'm going to try and figure it out tomorrow, but if somebody could give me some direction that'd be great.

The EGI fuse feeds the engine management and emission control systems. Pretty much everything engine-related under the bonnet is fed from there.

One thing I have seen a few times is the wires for the split air solenoid on the AVC rotting off and shorting onto the engine. Check that first. Then check everything else...

Well the ACV has been removed, recently. Should I do anything with the plug that plugged into the ACV?

Make sure it isn't shorting against anything. That goes for any disconnected plug.
