Blah . . . Vibration problem

I tried searching and got about 200 threads without a solution, so here it is. When i drive straight, its fine. If it turn the wheel left aobut an inch, it vibrates. If i continue to turn the wheel further, it goes away. If i turn it to the right, it doesnt do it. Can i jsut be bad alignment?

I don't know, but maybe wheel bearings or tie rod ends. Maybe a separating tire? I've never had vibration from bad alignment.

i'd check your lower control arm bushings and tie rod ends. also make sure that tire is in balance it prob. wouldn't cause this problem but you never know also it could be alignment related but if it's just that one tire then the tire itself might be over inflater have a bubble or something like that

Your alignment would have to be way-fucked to cause vibes.

It wouldn't be an over-inflated tire. But it wouldn't hurt to check the tires to see if a belt has snapped (the tire will be misshapen and won't stand up on it's own.)

As said, check the front suspension assembly, including the sway bar links (are the rubber grommets deteriorating/gone?) Make sure that *all* the nuts and bolts are tight.

Have you considered that your p/s pump may be dying? How is it performing, otherwise?

The power steering pump, im not sure of. it works ok - not as well as a hondas i can assure you of that. i'll try adjusting my steering wheel (the power steering control ring moves with the wheel?) tomorrow, maybe that'll change things - ill also look for loose ends. Any other suggestions?

thanks for all the replies already
