Big trouble dealing with the dashboard and other interior parts

Not sure if this is ok to be posted here or in the Interior section. Basically my dashboard....along with the majority of the plastic pieces in the car are becoming brittle and falling apart. Case in point my dashboard along with the frame to my instrument cluster are hanging together by one screw. The only options I can think of are:

1) Buy a new dashboard and cluster fram along with all the other lovely and annoying parts OEM (or try and strip them off another car)

2) Go with the Carbon Fiber and hope it lasts a little longer.

The reason I'm writing this is two fold. First I have no idea where to obtain CF part like that, especially the dashboard. Second is carbon fiber any more durable than current Dashboard. Thirdly if you were in my shoes (which I hope you aren't cause wearing other peoples shoes is gross) then what would you do. Sounds cheesy but I really need some input in terms of what to do. I'm tryin to make the car look nice again, it's been neglected for so many years I want to make it look nice. Last but not least how much these parts cost me (Iknow they are expensive but just HOW expensive)

Get the OEM stuff. CF is a fairly brittle material, but teh strenght is much higher, so I would guess it would give you similar lifetime.

I don't know if you can even get CF parts for that, but if you can they wil be FAR too expensive to be worth it, IMO.

I didn't know if an OEM dash was available......hadn't checked yet with a dealer....figured it was cost prohibitive.

I have the same problem, but I have rust on the screws aswel. Someone didnt look after this car too well!

either the crew holes on my dash have corroded apart or rusted or something. All I know is that I can't screw the instrument cluster frame into the dashboard and the passenger side cluster with the speaker and all that is currently held up by zip ties.....God I love zip ties.

Ok, question for those of you that have ordered new OEM plastic pieces (radio/idiot surround) from Mazda/aftermarket.

How do they hold up? Are they brittle? Easy to break?

I also want to replace my crappy broken plastic pieces, but I'm not going to if the new pieces are just going to break.
