BG 44k Fuel Injector Cleaner Question
 

So i went out today and spent 19$ on a can of BG 44K fuel injector cleaner...

Ive done my research on here and it sounds like this stuff is the shit when it comes to cleaning the fuel injection system..

So i got to pour the can in and get about 1/4 of the can in. I put the can down to let the stuff get into the gas tank. While putting the can down stupid me accidently knocks it over losing about another 1/4 of the can to the ground...My question is...would 3/4 of the can (which is what i got into the tank) be good enough to properly clean the system. The can says it treats up to 16 gallons...obviously our cars dont hold that much. Pretty newbish question but i just want to make sure I put enough in.

Any thoughts?

i wouldn't mess around with that crap. send your injectors to witchhunter to be cleaned and flow tested. its like $15 an injector and is definitely worth it.

I plan on doing that but figured i would give this a try first. Just want to make sure i got enough in there...if you look into BG 44k its actually pretty strong potent stuff which has been know to unclog/clean injectors. Thats why alot of the dealerships carry it and actually use it instead of ripping the injectors out to clean them.

BG is more for cleaning the carbon deposits off of the inside of the engine rather than cleaning the fuel system (at least as far as I've heard.) So don't worry that you haven't done anything at all. Just send your injectors out to witch hunter. He's the shit.

BG cleaner cleans the whole system including the injectors guys.

3/4 of a can should be more than adequate to clean your system.

Everything BG makes is greatness. I believe 44K is one of the best system cleaners on the market. I also believe that system cleaners sould be used as a maintenance item. It wont be a magic cure all if your having fuel system problems.

3/4 should work great for a full tank.
