bets exhaust for $649

Whats the best exhaust I can get for around $649? I have that much money to buy a good exhaust system! I already have an hks exhaust system should I stick with this one and just get new mufflers because my old hks ones are rusted through! I don't know I really want the true dualls because that looked sweet on whoevers car that was! and how much is that? Oh yeah my car is an 88tII. Thanks!

Corksport. You can get a full exhaust for around that. Get the full 3 inch DP, MP, and catback

hondahater 08-23-03 10:56 AM

so I shouldn't keep the hks turbo exhaust I have on there right now huh? because if I could I would get some racing seats! is the hks good? and also where do you get the corksport? Thanks!

Jaared 08-23-03 10:59 AM

hondahater 08-23-03 11:00 AM

hondahater 08-23-03 11:01 AM

Was just gonna say that...not at lease a bought product from a company...

hondahater 08-23-03 04:06 PM

that sucks! so what mufflers should I pick up if I keep my hks exhaust? Thanks

marcus219 08-23-03 04:08 PM

N1's, Bomz makes cheap mufflers that sound good, all depends on what you want.

hondahater 08-23-03 04:09 PM

cheap but really I want good preformance!

marcus219 08-23-03 04:16 PM

My buddy had the gt-spec, its has a 2.5 through the muffler with a 4.5 tip...if you have 2.5-3" piping behind the muffler, performance should be good.

hondahater 08-23-03 04:19 PM

thanks man!

Kuhrazy7 08-23-03 04:19 PM

why not 3inch rb dp to an apex n1?

hondahater 08-23-03 04:21 PM

um I've got the hks turbo exhaust right now just kinda old and the mufflers are rusted through just need the mufflers. I've been looking on ebay but don't trust ebay much

Scott 89t2 08-23-03 04:25 PM

define "exhaust"....

what do you have now? HKS catback? + downpipe? midpipe??

just saying you have an hks exhuast means nothing. usaly that just means catback.

hondahater 08-23-03 05:15 PM

turbo back!

Scott 89t2 08-23-03 05:27 PM

I don't even know of an hks turbo back...

what size is the downpipe / midpipe?

hondahater 08-23-03 06:19 PM

only thing I know is that I have the original reciept witch shows the instructions and its turbo back. the part number is 2063xx-58182L

attomica 08-23-03 08:39 PM

If you just want to replace the mufflers, get the Racing Beat cans. They're beautifully made.

Ryde _Or_Die 08-23-03 08:49 PM

Well I know HKS makes a DP and they make catbacks. But I never heard of them making anything to get rid of the cat really.

Anyways, so you just want some new mufflers? If thats all and you have $650 to spend, get whatever style you want. I mean, you could get HKS, Blitz, Apex'i, or whatever else you want.

hondahater 08-24-03 02:47 AM

see that the thing, I looked under the car and saw something that looks like the cat but on the manual on how to install it, it looked says that it is an muffler, sub (pre silencer) so I guess it's not a cat! anyways thats what I'm going to do keep this one and just get new cats! also is there away I can get rid of the cat, or in their words (muffler, sub) and put in a racing pipe or test pipe? and where would I get this? thanks!

hondahater 08-24-03 02:48 AM

damn I just reread the post after I finnished an I have to say sorry for the bad spelling, incorrect grammer etc... I have had a little to much to drink tonight! lol
