Best inexpensive-ish soft coilovers?
 

Yes, I want to buy pansy coilovers. I'd like to know what you guys recommend that would fit this description:

Reasonable spring rates. I'd like something in the neighborhood of 7 and 5 ideally, but will consider rates more like 8 and 6

Inexpensive. I've looked at Godspeeds for $600 but am concerned about the durability. Is there anything in the sub $1000ish range (used or new, that I can buy sooner rather than later) that would be a good product?

D2 Racing coilovers. Can get them about 8-900 ish with free shipping from hopupracing.com. don't remember the exact price.

Stay away from the godspeeds. The D2's arent real high quality but the difference in ride quality between the two are incredible(the godspeeds are that bad).

my thread asking same question pretty much, idk what cheap is to you but i thought a grand for my megan track coilovers was pretty fair and street driveability really isnt bad imo with them turned all the way to soft.

also read "hypertek"'s post in that thread stating all the coilovers, very helpful

It might be a thought, to just get new shocks and springs instead of coilovers. Especially if your just wanting to make the car a little more responsive while keeping the ride the same.

powered by max just switch them to 8k front 6k rear

Do you really need height adjustment?
How about a set of Koni yellows and some RS*R down springs? I had that set up on my FC for awhile and liked it a lot.

Ground Controls with upgraded shocks...Believe you can get it with custom spring rates too. Not that expensive and it's probably what you are looking for unless your planning on slamming the car.

Honestly, the reason for coilovers is so I can for wider wheels/tires under the car. I have tokico blues with stock springs now, but the springs are just worn out.

Thanks for the opinions, guys! Ill probably go with D2s unless someone else has a roughly as inexpensive suggestion.
