i was wondering what weight is the best and if there is a better brand to use?

i figure its never been done on this car and its about time

Funny, I just did a search and found 500 post's on the subject. Both pro and con, but Iwent with Redline in the tranny and diff and it cleared up some grinding problems for me.

You have a Hayne's manual right? That should have all oil weights needed listed in there.

Also just use whatever is clever unless you are doing some serious track/autox/heinous stuff to your diff. Expensive diff oil won't save it if its on the way out and being abused.
