Battery relocation

Alright i know there is a few threads but mine is a little different as I dont have storage bins in my car, its a jspec with the mini rear seats, id love storage bins but they go for an arm and a leg over here.

Ive custom made a carbon fibre box, brought some weldiing wire and should have all the fittings to do this. What im after is what is the best earth to run it off in the boot, or should i run an earth wire to the front of the car? and is there anything i should look for?

If by earth you mean ground wire you dont have to run it all the way to the front... You can ground it somewhere solid in the back.

Yes i was going to ground it in the back. Was talking to some of the avionics guys at work on aircraft they try and keep the earth close to the positive so the current has less path to travel, i didnt think it would be much of an issue in a car though. Is there an ideal spot?

My battery in my old TII was at the back of the car, and the ground was right next to the battery(far back of car). No issues at all.

If you run the ground wire to the engine bay it'll help a little bit because you'll get less resistance and a better ground. But usually people just ground it in the trunk. That's what I did and I have no problems.
