Bare bones S5 NA.

I know its probally been covered before, but I am having problems finding the thread(s) but was is the bare minimum wiring/sensors/vacuum needed to run a S5 NA? Basically I am putting a S5 NA into a 88 body and want some directions as to the simpliest/easiest install. No smog, a/c, ps, etc. I have the wiring harness and correct computer etc. But I still want to eliminate as much as possible. Just the alternator and whats needed to run the engine.

Define "run the engine".
AC/PS are easy to delete but as far as "emissions" it gets harder.
Since the S5 uses the airpump to activate the aux.ports it'll have to be there- although in the strictest sense, the engine will "run" without it- just not as well as it could.
The BAC isn't strictly necessary but again, the car runs better with than without.
Same with the thermowax...see a trend here?

First off, thanks for the reply. Second, I want the car to run full power. I don't want to delete anything that takes from performance, or reliabilty. But I do know alot can be eliminated. Basically I will be using the car as a started car for SCCA, that is the main reason for the post, I want to have as little on the engine as possible to keep it simple and easy to repair/diagnose. I am an excellent car/heavy equipment mechanic, but I am just getting wet in rotarys. I am guessing what I am asking has been covered before, but I just haven't typed the correct words to search for :)

Actually, IMO, there isn't "alot" that can be deleted and what's there isn't all that hard to keep up with.
I've gotten rid of the secondary throttle plates and AWS solenoid with no adverse effects.
If you redo the vac lines, everything else works pretty well and pretty reliably.

easiest way is to use just the s5 keg and all your old s4 stuff. you can then run the 5/6 actuators off the airpump dump on the ACV and call it a day.
