Badging question (very basic)
Kind of a basic question here... But can't get a direct answer.
I just painted my car from red to charcoal. Somewhat close to the factory color. And I need to replace the stickers on the back. I'll be going with the Japanese ones "Savana RX-7" and the Mazda sticker instead of the badge. But what color came stock on the greyish/charcoal models? I think it was a greyish silver that was used. Am I correct on this? Thanks... |
yeah im pretty sure that the charcoal cars got silver/grey stickers on their sides and rears. possibly a white, but doubt it.

My Mini Z car is charcoal that has silver badging. I know that's kind of a bad reference but that's what I've got to go with now. :)
I spent a long while looking through Hyper Revs and 3 issues RX-7 Magazine. But came up with nothing. |
I thought on the US models it was black sticker on the 86-87 silver (Tornado silver and Artic silver) cars.

Every FC I've looked at recently has a black "Mazda" badge on the pass. side. In all the Japanese pictures I see it is a sticker.
My car is a very early model 87 (sold in 86). It was red and had the black badge. I don't even recall what color the rest of the stickers were. I only had it for a short period of time before I preped the body. :) |
my 86 doesn't have badging at all.

It's a Turbo II by the way, probably makes no difference by the way for what stickers were used.
