Bad logicon repair info needed

I have both of my logicons not working. In my 'vert ,it just doesn't have the lights. While I can probably figure it out, it would be nice to have something to go on if anyone has done it before.
In my turbo, only the heat and fan switches work. None of the air flow selector switches work. I was going to send these to icemark but apparently he's out of the 'biz on logicons. Any help is appreciated.

Anyone care to offer any opinions? The service manual doesn't have much to say on this.

I'm in the same boad, the fan speed controller works, and that's about it. No matter what i press, no are comes out of the vents.

if you pull the logicon out of the dash you will find that a harness comes out of a little black box and goes into the dash. This will take hours of swearing to find the plug and unplug it. What i did was pulled the logicon out, unplugged the 2 easily accessed plugs and let it hang out as far as possible. In behind you will find 4 screws that hold the face to the actual body. Unscrew these and pop the face off.

Now you will find that there are 2 more smaller harnesses coming out of the back of the face and plug into the circuit board. Unplug these but be careful when you do. Now you should have the face with the 2 harnesses coming out of the back. Pull off the orange paper and expose the circuit board. If you look at the solder joints you will probably see they are cold. ie, look black, cracked etc. I just hit all the solder joints with a soldering iron and added some and mine works like a charm now.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't considered the bad solder joint possibility, although I should have. I did this to the warning light assembly and it worked.

PM Icemark. He repairs logicons and wiper switches.

check your airmix motor as well (the thing that controls the flapper door that lets heat in from the heater core) if it goes, it takes out the part of the logicon that you're talking about. i've killed 3 logicons trying to figure out what it was.
you may be able to fix it by re-soldering if its not the airmix motor, but if it is, you may have more electrical work on your hands.

thank's tmack, I've been going without heat for months (mind you, the heat works fine on hot days, just doesn't work in the winter)
