Bad injectors?

I've been struggling with tuning on the Microtech. Using stock base maps it wont run, but if I bring the fuel way down from stock, it'll start and idle.

I'm thinking possibly the primary injectors may be pushing too much fuel.

When the injectors go bad, is this what happens--too much fuel?

Confirm you do not have the primary and secondary wires crossed.

Typically I have found injectors stock closed.

base maps are usually rich...

I'm not a real ECU guy but I encountered something similar and actually figured it out.

are the start up maps set correctly,to correspond temp to fuel?

I had that happen with my RTEK.it would be real hard to start..then harder once warm as the fuel would keep on coming when warm.
reducing fuel to temp setting helped and I was good to go.

Do you have stock primary injectors?

Didn't you say in another thread in the Microtech forum that you don't have the vacuum line connected?

In think in order to answer your questions, we need all the information on your setup.

Unless the car has been sitting, or you have reason to suspect the injectors are bad, then assume it is a tune setting.

I'd say post your map, but the POS Microtech doesn't allow saving of maps. Well, it does, sort of, but it's not like the file is useful.

Unfortunately it takes awhile to get a reply in the microtech forum, so I've been trying different setups in an attempt to get it going.
When I first started tuning, I couldn't get it to fire with the vacuum plugged in, so I tried with it off and I got it to stumble and eventually fire up.
Unnfortunately, can get it to idle, but when you need to put a load on the engine with the vacuum off(like when doing anything *other* than idling-ie:driving) it dies.
So, I've been trying to get it setup correctly with vacuum on.
I set it up with the stock base maps supplied by silverrotor, with no success. I can get it to stumble and fire, but will not idle.
I read that the maps are a little rich, so I've tried lowering the fuel on the crank, water and idle maps with no success.
It's a newly rebuilt engine w/ stock primaries and 720 secondaries.
