Bad AFR and idle
 

Hi everyone, I recently replaced my middle intake gasket and a majority of vac lines associated with the intake plenum due to a vacuum leak at the gasket.

After i replaced everything it started and stayed running, so thats a plus. But my A/f is all screwed up, some days itll run on the richerr side like 11 at idle some days itll lean around 16. Its still cold in the mornings so its been more on the richer side.

After I let it fully warm up, the idle only goes down to about 1100rpm, i start driving then come to a stop and my idle jumps up and down from 800 to 1500 and a/f will jump as well about 12-16.

Its an 88 Na with emmissions deleted and an intake cone(becuz racekar), Im thinking it still has a vac leak that only opens up sometimes? Any thing helps guys, thanks

Define "emissions deleted".
Still have the BAC?

Have you already jumpered the initial set couple, adjusted timing and TPS, then tried setting idle?
Still have the thermowax and if so, checked the adjustment?

sure you didn't get those vac lines mixed up? double check using the diagram. follow each one very carefully paying close attention to the diagram

I deleted egr, air pump, omp, cruise control, double throttle. BAC is still there and the thermowax, how do I adjust those? and would they cause intermitten high and low idles?

Vac lines are where theyre suppose to be and capped off properly, i used a diagram and double checked.

There is no adjusting the BAC, other than making sure it's functional.
As for the thermowax, there is an adjustment but it's a bitch to get to with the throttle body in place. It's so easy to remove the t-body you may as well do it and then study the fsm, which is very explicit about how to set it up. It's pretty interesting, really.

Still an applicable question...

could be the t-wax is sticking. can you see where the fast idle cam is when the idle is fast but vehicle is up to temp? i'm not sure on the 6ports. if you can see whats going on with that when the problem occurs, that would be helpful

Forgot to take my multimeter home this weekend, but its getting worse.I think theres a vacuum leak at the cap of the thermowax. Heres a video of her running this morning
