Backfire and running rich

ever since i put my new injectors in my car has been running rich and back firing. i replaced the O2 sensor the other day but nothing changed.

any ideas what may be causing this?

Does it backfire upon acceleration, deceleration or both?

Maybe the timing is causing the car to backfire. Did you put larger injectors into your car?

i put the OEM injectors in it. and it backfires when its shifted at high RPM's.

That is normal. It's probably running richer and is back to "stock" with fresh injectors.

Small air leak CAN cause that. But it has to be tiny for that to happen, and it is very rough on idle in that case, and sounds more and more like a tractor, the bigger the hole gets. Personal experience from three turbocars :D

Or, AFM gone to hell? Can't read the signal properly, which gives a unstable A/F-ratio?

Just guessing from previous experiences with non-wankel cars.
