AWS solenoid, not plugged engine code?
will i get an engine code on teh ECU if i remove the AWS solenoid?
|
Yes you will. But you won't get a code if you jam plugs in the pipes that connect BOTH of the AWS solenoids to the manifold/intercooler.
I've done this on my S5 T2 and it's not really worth it. It will still over-rev on start as the bulk of the bleed air comes from the thermo-wax system opening the throttle 6% (or more) at cold start. |
i dont ahve thermo wax, i removed that too ;)
i guees i will leave teh soleniod in tehre just plugged but nto plumbed |
Either that or you could place a 1k resistor across the two terminals of each of the connectors so the ECU thinks they are there. If 1k still throws a code be very careful how low you go on the values, otherwise you'll burn a trace or transistor in your ECU.
