AWR camber links & Polyurethane Control arm bushings
 

I am installing a set of Polyurethane bushings and well My camber links are looking a little worn out. I want to know if AWR camber links are compatible with the polyurethane bushings. http://store.awrracing.com/products/...-RX%252d7.html The MMR camber links specify that theirs are not compatible with polyurethane. http://www.mmr-direct.com/catalog1/RX7FC/index.htm Any help would be appreciated. thanks

The reason why the MMR adjusters are not compatible with delrin/poly bushings is because they require the rear control arm bushing to "flex and twist" which is what the adjusters will do (they will twist the arm to adjust camber).

That being said, the AWR links are the same concept. If you do get them and install the poly bushings, the stiffer bushings will put a greater load when you adjust camber, something will break eventually due to the stress (the greater you adjust, the more the bushing will give you resistance). Best to get pillow ball bushings for the rear control arms if going this route or keep the O.E.M. rubber which is more forgiving.

That aside, I think these adjusters are all poorly designed. Lots of people, including myself have broken them just daily driving or light auto-cross.
