Doesn anybody know how to hook up Autometer 5 inch Tach. I have an 88 Turbo 2 rx7 so if anybody knows how to hook it up please write me back. Also which one of those wires in the back of tach should i cut, Rotary's are not 4 cyl, 6 or 8. So write me back please. Thanks

I think they go as 4 bangers, but don't take my word for it, wait for someone else, on some things its 4, on others its 6.

you cut all the wires. You hook the tach input off the trailing ignitor. There should be a yellow wire that just hanging there, not hooked up.

Yo,

I gotta ask:

Why?

I'm sorry, but having a big 5" tach with shiftlight is right up there with hyper blinkers, 6" exhaust tips, and giant wings. Are you running it past 9,000rpm or something? Inquiring minds wanna know!

oh hush, its hardcore drifter style!!! =P

Yo,

Please, hardcore RICER style. If you ain't revvin' the motor past the stock increments, then you're doing it solely for LOOKS. That's rice in my book.

I hooked one up cuz my stock tach didn't work. Cut all the wires like stated above(cuz they say it still fires like a 4 banger) the green wire(I think it was) goes to the neg on the trailing ignitor, and the usual power, gnd, and accesory(turns on and off with key). It can be rice, but if you race then its a big help. The shiftlight comes on and gets your attention to shift, when you are monitoring all your other gauges.
