Autometer gauge installation
I just ordered an autometer dual gauge pod along with a boost gauge and an air/fuel ratio guage from the rx7store, for my s5 t2. Do any of you guys know a site that has detailed instructions on how to install these. I've never installed any gauges before and have not clue how to do it.

They come with pretty decent instructions. Just be careful if you use the capillary tubing that comes with the boost gauges. Its easy to kink and then the boost gauge won't work.

I just bought the same.
and was wondering about that too. I also have a spare fuel cut controller because i did not know that my RX7 previosue owner had 1 already in there until i wnated to connected it up. my car is a 89 turbo next upgrade is cold air box for miriahmotorsports and the intake head light cover. Racing seatrs and belts roll cage also just bought SS brake lines and need to install them soon. |
anybody got a webpage with these instructions? I bought my boost and AFR gauges used and they have no install kit and no instructions. theres a black wire and a white wire and the capillary tubing for the boost gauges and a black wire purple wire and red wire for the AFR gauge. Do I need to buy more parts?

And go buy your self a heat gun so you can make that dual pod fit and not look like it isn't ment to fit.
Autometer made those dual pods to fit the S4 pillars. James |
Don't these products come with instructions? A search will find you lots of threads, as these have been covered many times.

that is so true ...
i had a blow torch. the reason is beacuse of the autobelts.. and the pillar molding is almost opposite of the mounting to the guage pod. take off the pillar and mould the guesge pod outside of the car it is way easier. i have been running mine for about 1 half years now. |
i searched and i couldnt find any instructions for the AFR gauge install..... is it as simple as hooking up a power source, a ground, and one wire going to the O2 sensor?

Yes it is, but you should hook up the signal wire at the ECU end of the O2 sensor wire to avoid problems with the shielded wire in the engine bay. You can take power from the ECU while you're there.

sell the gauge to a honda owner and dont wori about it. It is useless outside of closed loop.

Who said anything about tuning? Nobody in this thread. If you understand what the gauge is showing you it's a useful warning and diagnostic device, simple as that.
