Autoexe Lower Arm Bar: Review
Hey guys I made a writeup for the autoexe lower arm bar. I just copy and pasted this from another site I wrote it at:
---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey sorry for the lack of update. I have the bars installed both front and rear. But I don't have the cage in yet. Because I'm having probs with the front area of the car, I don't have egnough clearence for my helmet to fit the cage properlly so I need to figure someting around it. Onto the Autoexe Lower Arm Brace Set. The bars are out of this world. At first when I saw the picture on the autoexe catoluge they look small but in person the bars are huge. Similar to the Cusco design of hollow strut bars these autoexe bars are the same, having a hollow design. The autoexe kit also came with an authentic serial code and were carefully designed to fit with no problems. The front lower arm bar is very strong made out of steel and hollow inside. The front lower arm bar attaches onto the lower arm and onto the frame. In a X Brace member design. Unlike the cusco bar and the mazdaspeed the Autoexe lower arm bar is pinched between the lower arm and the chassis. With each ends conected to the two bolts of the lower arm. (Hard to describe but look at the pics) The rest of the bar connects onto the frame. There is a small kit that wedges/attaches itself onto the frame without drilling anything. The bar is also slanted on the right side for the header/downpipe. The rear lower arm bar is very nice and strong. There are 4 pieces two triangular bars for the subframe and two smaller bars that strengthen the rear arm. Overall I'm very happy with the bars. The quality of the autoexe bars are excellant and the packaging and handling of the bars are superb. I found my turn in using the autoexe bar was more responsive then my old Cusco lower arm. As well my rear is more stable when exiting out of corners. The best part about these bars is probably the front member brace and the triangualar rear brace that strengthen up the chassis. Because with my current suspension setup to the max and without my roll cage installed yet, my cars chassis is flexing from the pressure and stress buildup that I put on it at the track. For the price I'm very satisfied. Even though the price isn't cheap and in some cases you can buy a car, but the bars are definatley worth the money. The bars can be found atBoom Plus Toys the pricing is currently wrong. We'll be changing that shortly. http://www.boomplustoys.net/images/a...e%20FC%201.jpg http://www.boomplustoys.net/images/a...e%20FC%202.jpg http://www.boomplustoys.net/images/a...e%20FC%203.jpg My Current suspension: AutoExe Bushings AutoExe Engine, Tranny Mounts Autoexe Front/Rear Lower Brace Cusco Front Strut Bar Cusco Rear Strut Bar GTUS LSD JIC Camber Plates JIC FLTA2 Coilovers K2RD Rear Camber Link Mazdatrix Front Endlinks Racing Beat Rear Endlinks Racing Beat Sway Bar Front/Rear Racing Beat Toe Eliminator Bushing |
good lord, $569USD for that set of bars? that sounds a little over the top to me. is that the price that is wrong? if so what should it be?
|
The price is wrong should be cheaper but still in the 500US area. :D I'll have to get that checked tommorrow. You will have to see the bars in person, they are very high quality parts.

Do the rears immobilize the subframe? How do they accomodate camber adjustments?

nice looking bars.

The price on the site is Full retail. I'm able to let them go for $510 US for each set.

Wormiez, you have some real nice mods done to your car.
Assuming that we purchase from you, will we have to pay customs? |

only those 4 little bolts hold that x brace on?
for that money, i can just go get a cage. Thats why too much money for some simple bars. |

They look real good but I find it a bit difficult to justify their $500 price tag. $400 maybe.

I was about to dump the Vert brace and grab a lower control arm brace but didn't want to loose chasis rigidity.
I haven't look at it in a while but think that it was held in place by 4 bolts on the frame rail. I think that the Xbrace needs a vert specific application. |
can i buy just the rear braces?
|
 on those bars, the only thing I REALLY don't like is that your clutch job will take you 2 extra hours :(
BTW - I like the header\silencer combo!! Where and who makes them? |
damn it! where those rear braces connect to the frame are where I have my neon tubes... guess you all know what that means... no under chassis braces for me ;)
