What are a few upgrades to do?

Cold Air, Exhaust, Springs....?

Also whats too low for a RX mine scrapes sometimes but only going up on parking lot driveways at someplaces ifyer going alittle fast.

Best upgrade you can do is a manual swap.

Other than that... Full exhaust, custom cold air intake or cold air box, suspension (everything you're willing to do and extent you're willing to go to), flywheel/clutch, standalone/piggy back + tuning, porting, etc.

Too low is really up to you, however I think anything beyond 1" is starting to get too low for normal driving.

I can't do a manual swap, I don't drive the car yet due to not having my license tho I got a good stack ready to upgrade and my dad (uses it as his car for now) dosen't want me to do audio or visual so I can do anything else cept those and a manual swap, suposidly he talked to a guy that races RX's and the guy said manual swaps fail and cost soo much it'd be better to sell the car when my car's inter is the best I've seen (with no work) I mean we havent even cleaned it much haha and its so oclean and not ruined.

Search manual swap, check archives, it's not that expensive. And if you do it right it shouldn't "fail" although I don't know exactly what you mean by fail. Your car will never be very quick with the auto, so in my mind I don't see a point in doing upgrades if it'll still be a slow auto. But hey that's just me.

yea, its arlgiht but the guy told my dad theres all theese parts you need when its basically the tranny, gotta fit a mount, flywheel, clutch, and boot for the inside right?

ddub 08-26-06 02:01 AM

If memory serves me...

Tranny with master/slave cylinders and clutch line, flywheel, clutch, shifter/boot/plastic surround, and a bracket/mount for the tranny.

cmanns 08-26-06 02:03 AM

yea that should be cheaper then 1k right?

ddub 08-26-06 02:05 AM

My friend did his for about 150-200 dollars, but he found the tranny for cheap and in good condition and it came with the flywheel, then he got a OEM style clutch for 40 or something, and the other misc stuff for cheap or free when buying multiple pieces.

But he got lucky with deals, normally it'd be a bit more than that.
