Aussie Ecu = Jspec Ecu? Ecu chip question
 

So I am doing a jdm swap, which comes with a n374 ecu. Knowing that I will be using the na harness I know that this will not allow my rear rotors to fire. I have been lurking the treads and it seems like the n374 that have been chipped will work.

After pming people who have worked on this problem I have been lead to this product that is coming out of Austrilla. Now my question is it seems like it does everything that the jspec chips are doing but I was just wondering if the jspec and Aussie spec ecus are the same. Has anyone tried this? Also any other options with this n374 or is it just a nifter paperweight

N374 is a J-spec ECU. I don't think there is one specific to Australia only. The thing with those chipped ECUs is you just don't know what they're done to them. Did they advance the timing, did they add fuel for higher boost? It's hard to say. An N370 would be the best way to go, but a chipped N374 can work. I would suggest a wideband to make sure mixtures are as they should be under boost.

Interesting. If I were to get the Aussie chip would anyone be able to compare it with the KnightSport chip. Seeing that we already know that the knightsport chip works for the converted tii?? This may give other members and option to keep their n374s...
