atmosphere bov makes car run richer??
i was told that if you have a atmosphere blow off valve the car will run richer. Is this true? and also i put 7 washers into the spring cause it was sucking air in when idleing, and i put a ligther there to see if it was sucking any more, and it wasn't. Do you think it could be sucking in when i am gunning it and will it harm the engine?? ok i meant i have a aftermarket bov. its a turbo II h34 and you need to washers into it so it would be more tigher si when idle it will not suck

Open venting the BOV with the AFM in place means metered air is being dumped, but that air's fuel still gets injected. It causes a momentary rich condition which can cause bogging.
You have to put a check valve on the stock BOV if you open vent it or you'll have the mother of all vac leaks. |
