Hello all! I am trying to install my oil injectors on the block, and they wont screw in all the way. Any suggestions?

Without the oil metering lines, they can't go in all the way. If you don't want to use them, you need to install bolts in those holes. You're just leaving vacuum leaks the way you are doing it.

are the oil injectors for the manifold shorter than for the block?

Ya know, I pulled out two sets of these things from other blocks, and they are all long. I noticed there are screws of some sort in the holes for the oil injector on the block. Maybe they did not screw them down enough? These existing screws are why I can not get the injector in enough.

ive seen some work that has came from atkins as in a fresh rebuilt T2 block with a SP and it looks like crap. Looked like they did it freehand :( motor let go within 5000km

How are you baffled? I already answered your question. Without the oil metering lines that would normally take up this space, you can not screw them all the way in. I assume you are using premix. If not, hook the oil metering lines back up. They are not in your picture. If you are using premix, replace them with bolts.

You CAN NOT do it the way you are trying to.

you are forgetting the oil metering lines. the plastic lines that go from the oil metering pump on the timing cover, they supply oil to the injectors, since there is no sleeve in the space under the injector they are bottoming out in the rotor housing, DO NOT try to force them on without the oil metering lines attached under the injectors.

Doesn't Atkins have a 2yr./ 20,000mi. warranty on their rebuilds?

i'm sure he does warranty his engines unless it is abuse or improperly installed or cared for. btw, streetports are freehand, you can try a mill but it is more work than it is worth.

improper tuning is the #1 killer for a rebuild and someone who is trying to get performance from it, increasing the timing and adding tons of mods without tuning the fuel trim will kill a rotary.
