apex seal VS cold
 

k so, im cutting ties with my 88 vert but it has a cold start problem, when its cold itll take a little longer to start and after it does start if i dont hold the gas itll cut off, i sold my car to my good friend so i want to know if the problem is severe cause told him id help him fix it if it was any ideas what it is? i was told it was the apex seal

apex seal = blown motor

tell him to check the water temperature sensor on the back of the waterpump housing, near the alternator.

its not the apex seals or it wouldn't start

its typical of rotaries to have a difficult start while its cold out you just gotta make sure to get it running good before winter hits

When is the last time the car has had a full tuneup?

There should be no cold start issues on a car in good shape. Old worn out plugs and leaking injectors will cause issues.
