Anyone used a Turbo XS RFL BOV?
 

I can't seem to get mine to work, have a good vacuum source and no boost leaks pushing 5 pounds. My guess is that the spring is too stiff for my application, I have it on full soft and I can't hear it open. Has anyone used one of these?

If memory serves me correct, these things open with 10 or greater psi and hold up to 25 pounds.

put a buddy of mine with a ms3 at 20psi's valve on my 5lb of boost rx7, and nothing bled off.

so from experience it did not work. There is that washer adjustment and different springs manufactured, so it may be possible. I didnt want to fuck with it.

Yeah the washer trick is to preload the spring to require more pressure to open the valve for higher boost applications. The 10 psi thing makes perfect sense then, I will try different springs and see what works for me. I can't hear compressor surge so maybe it is partially opening.

yeha i've been running it for years i love it its very loud with i think 2 maybe 3 washers.

the RFL is known to be spotty. Some people report them to leak all the time, others have had zero problems.

Depends if its a kockoff or a real Turbo XS RFL BOV.

RFL A.K.A. Really Fucking Loud... Yeah i have one too that i'm not using they are good if they are the real thing but like the HKS SSQ aloot of knock-offs were made that are not as reliable. You will most like not get much our of it at 5 psi even if you adjust it. I would just get another BOV
