Anyone running with a MSD 6A
Has anyone, after installing the MSD 6A on stock coils, noticed that they can now feel when the car goes into closed loop mode? Since I put it on my NA yesterday everytime the car goes into closed loop (verified via the A/F gauge) I can feel the car pulsing along to it, like it's slowing down, then going fast, and repeating over and over. Anyone else have this problem?

Mine didn't do that when I was still running the fuel injection system. It was smooth like a mo'fo... But that is history for me since I went turbo/carb and dual msd 6a's with dual blaster2 coils. You should check the wiring over...

hmmm, I'm about 98% sure it's proper, considering we did it to the vert at the same time, and that one's going fine. Everything's fine except for when it hits closed loop I can feel the stupid thing. Perhaps I should put it back to stock and see if it goes away, maybe I have a bad box :(

Or maybe a coil that was about to go bad and finally died.

That's quite possible, thank god i've got about 10 spares laying around.

It could be you already have fuel delivery issues.  If you do, the MSD just amplifies the problem...

I'd go with Ted on this one, I've put the MSD on two different cars and never had anything like that happen. It should just make things a little smoother all around but not much of anything else noticable.

Thanks for the tip ted, the injectors are DEFINATLY in need of a cleaning, and it sure did become noticable with the MSD, other than that the car runs great, and my gas usage has gone to shit as of late, used to get 29mpg, now I'm getting about 18 :(

Surging power is usually a sure sign of a lean condition.  Since the CDI box just allows better combustion, you'd get even leaner conditions - this is probably what you're experiencing...
