ok i hate to sound stupid, but since i am n00b here i better get it out of my system.

what the hell is that?! and what is a fcd?

heh...heh...heh....

FCD= fuel cut defender for TII's only

i hope youve heard about fuel cut on Tii's happens at ~8.6psi. basically when your turbo pushes ~8.6 psi of boost, your computer says "hey this is too much air! lets combat too much air by cutting fuel to the rear rotor" anyways, when it dose this, you run lean on rear rotor, and usually blow your motor. soooo short of getting a stand alone computer you have to have one of these FCD's to run more than ~8.6 psi. :) because the FCD tricks the comptuer into thinking that boost NEVER exceeds 8.6psi by adjusting the voltage going into the comptuer from the stock boost sensor....hope i helped ya :p:

ps. heres a better pic where i color coded what should be connected....

Hey Daniel, it looks good. :bigthumb:

You won't know until you test it though. What wattage soldering iron did you use, just out of curiosity. I was very concerned about how much heat I was putting into the IC. I ended up laying the whole thing upside down with the IC in contact with a chunk of aluminum for a heatsink and it worked, but I don't know if it was overkill.

I like the compactness of the trimmer you used. I used one of the long narrow ones with the screw on the end as I wanted my adj. hole to be on the side of my box.

If I ever make another one, I'm going to build it a lot smaller though. I think I used the same size board as you did.

I would put my pics up but this site hasn't been letting me lately. Mine looked just about like yours although somewhat more messy looking.

Cheers :beerchug:

lol, more messy looking? i didnt know it was possible. ummm i used a 35W iron. im not too sure about the trimmer, its a 10k 25 turn trimmer. i hope it works....i dont want to spend 80$ from a tuner...errrr.... oh well. i wasnt too concerned about heat to the IC. ive got extra everything to do it again if it dont work. hehe, only cost like 3$ more to get an extra everything :) ive never had a problem burning an IC with heat on a board like this, but if i did screw this one up i will probally get a damp/wet rag and place it ontop of it upside down.

or i need an Idiots guide to building it drawn up lol .... im new to working with electronics here

if you could make up an EASY drawing of how to build it or send pics of one already built that would help THE MOST!

the building instructions on that link are for the more advanced person with some knowledge of schematics and electronics .... i have NONE! lol
