Anybody have a TII drivetrain (or parts of one) for sale?

Hey guys!,
Doing a TII conversion on my 1990 N/A, and still need a Driveshaft, LS Diff and halfshafts. I'm in Southern CA -- If you're close by (or willing to ship ??) and have any of these parts for sale, could you please let me know?

Thanks!,
Manolis

P.S. I've already got a tranny...

Any idea what shipping to
2387 N. Lake Ave
Altadena, CA, 91001

would be ?

Also, how many miles are on the parts?

Anybody else...? (prefer not to have to ship, but we'll see!)

Thanks!,
Manolis

Are the parts out of a T2 or an NA?

its out of a TII
however its kind of a long story...
Kevin from the post up above was the one who sold it to me. i ended up not needing it but UPS broke the tranny. which was packed with the driveshaft. soo he has the tranny and driveshaft which have to come back out to me as soon as UPS gets down with the paperwork. and i have the half shafts with differential. so the DS will be here at the end of the week.
Jason

p.s. Kevin i'll drop you a line tomorow to let you know whats going on with ups.
thanks

Hey Jason,

I thought that was you :-)

In case youre wondering I acquired another 88 t2 to part, its complete right now except teh intercooler. All wiring and stuff is for sale, preferably as a package, engine, drivetrain, etc. all electronics. Needs an engine rebuild or replacement.

IF someone wants to talk about this "conversion package" for everything youd want and need to do it right to an 86-8 NA car, email me hypntyz@charter.net or call 423-748-7977

NA to T2 swaps suck a$$ RX7 Ragtop and I swapped his drive train in his vert this weekend and it totally sucked. Lots of little things you have to do and lots of trips to the parts store.

Yeah, I agree. It's a PITA, but well worth the hassle....especially with a 4:30 ring and pinion compressed into a TII LSD.

PITA doesnt begin to cover it.

Actually I would do it again IF;

1) I have a garage to do it in
2) I am swapping for a T2 engine or 20b at the same time
3) I have several friends that work cheap (like for beer) and are mechanically inclined.
4) All the parts have been rebuilt or are new.
5) The car isnt my only means of transportation.
6) The car doesnt have to be done by a certain time.
7) I have a nice work bench and small containers for the nuts and bolts, and a sharpie to label the containers.
8) Multiple large floor jacks
9) 4 good stable jack stands
10) Lots of beer to bribe my friends again.

Other things I would concider doing at the same time;

1) Power washing the engine bay and undercarraige with everything out.
2) Repainting the engine bay
3) Power wash and paint/powder coat any braces and brackets.
4) Replace rotors and calipers and brake lines with higher performance unitis.
5) Go cruise to celebrate and show off my newly rebuilt car.

Dont rush this project if you do under take it. It will be easier to find a good T2 though.

I couldn't agree more with most of your comments. ESPECIALLY the part about the labeled containers for nuts/bolts! Most of it, though, I did as you had suggested. Wish I would have been able to paint the engine bay and some of the brackets though like you said. Oh well, some day.
