I have seen many people do something like this. I would suggest buying a cheap generic K&N cone filter and an "intake adapter" that will allow you to attach it to your Air Flow Meter.

Next you *could* replace the plactic intake between the AFM and the intake manifold with a straight piece. This piece could be made out of any different number of materials but the advantage of doing this would be in have a straight path to the intake.

Last thing to do would be to create a air box underneath the hood to isolate the filter from the hot air under the hood.

ive seen pipes that are for hondas at autozone that might work well. i made mine out of a piece of 3 inch ABS. i bought 2 3in couplings like 3 bucks a shot , a peice of 10 ft ABs. i think like 10 bucks. "L" vacuum fittings(can be creative and use brass or something better than the pvc ones i used) and a K&N filter. all in all about maybe 70 bucks . the filter was the most expensive part . i bought the better model one. but all you need is like 2.5 - 3 inch inlet to fit over the s5 Maf or you need a adapter for the s4 . which some autozone sell as well for like 15 bucks .. but if your resourceful and bored you can make a intake fairly cheap and have fun doing it
