Any idea what this electrical connector is?

Recently I took apart my manifold to clean out the 5th and 6th ports. I made careful note of everything I took apart, replacing vac lines, making diagrams, etc.
Well, when I put it back together, I found a connector and I have no idea what it's for. I suppose it's possible that it was never connected to anything, but now a vacuum leak and I'm just wanting to make sure that this isn't the source. (I did not, however, change the fuel injector o-rings, so I ordered some new ones and am hoping that will solve my problem.) The connector is located under the UIM and has very little clearance around the area. thanks. |
I'm fairly sure it's the connector for the auxillery AC fan. Not sure if all models came with this or not. See if you have 2 sensors on the back of your waterpump or not.

Mine has that too but I don't know what its for? You don't connect it. I'm thinking its for a diagnosis connection.

you're right dude it's the aux fan plug
|
cool, thanks guys.

Everytime someone starts a thread with the title "What's this electrical connector" or similar (and there are dozens of them), it's almost always either the auxliary fan's temp switch or the oil pressure sensor...

well, I apologize, although I did try searching beforehand. I figured it probably wasn't hooked up in the first place, but with an apparent vac leak, I just thought I'd make sure it wasn't something vital.
