Any difference between turbo and NA bellhousing?
Are the NA and turbo bellhousings the same or is there any difference?
I am talking about the bellhousings only, nothing more. Thanks. |
aside from the fact that the n/a housing is part of the transmission? not a whole lot, they bolt up the same but the dimensions for the input shaft and throwout are different. you just have to use the clutch and hydraulics for the appropriate transmission as well as the flywheel for the transmission you're using.

Thanks for answering my stupid question. When I looked up a picture of both boxes it was very clear.

the starter bolt pattern is different.

Thanks for the clarification. Any more guidance is appreciated....
I'm trying to mate a Jerico to a 13b NA. I bought a "complete package" deal but the bellhousing was broke and I want to change out the clutch that came with it. I'd like to keep the aluminum flywheel I have, switch to an Act Xtreme PP (225mm NA) and will need an 18 spline 1 13/16" 4 puck disk. Does it matter between S4 or S5 TII bellhousing? I need to buy one as the one that came with my package was broke. Besides moving the starter bolt hole, everything else should fit just fine, correct? I can use all the normal NA parts I assume? |
I don't believe theirs a difference between a S4 or S5 bell housing. Is your flywheel stepped? The N/A flywheel is a stepped flywheel.

His knowledge is usually spot on, so I would go with yes there's a difference on the connection from the bell housing to the transmission.
That flywheel does look like it should be a N/A stepped flywheel. |
here is an s4 t2 bellhousing...

What I can tell you is that the stock starter is NOT centered in the bellhousing hole as you may think, so tell your fabricator to not use that as a reference point. |
