if you look at the coil pack you will see a plus and a minus under the plastic cap. do you have 12 volts there?

The LEAD coil assy has a small white electrical plug going to it. Turn the key to ON. Get a meter and put it on the Black wire with a yellow stripe. You should have 12v there. If you don't you probably have a blown fuse, either in the crew compartment or the fuse box in the engine bay. In the crew compartment, next to your left ankle there is a fuse box. Counting from the bottom row up , the forth row up and third fuse from your left as you look into the box, is the fuse that powers the ECU. That fuse gets its power from a fuse in the engine compartment. A sixty amp fuse I think. Just make sure all the fuses in that black box are good. Now the coil assy itself has to be grounded. It gets its ground from the mounting studs and nuts. If they are on, then there should not be a ground problem. Also there is a single bullet connector on that coil assy. Do not ever ground it. Someone on this site had one that was indeed grounded, preventing the coil from working.

so i bought a new coil and the car still didnt start might be the igniter or a electrical problem... but i'm gonna take it to my mechanic if its cheap to fix i'm gonna tell him to just rebuild the engine with a streetport. told me $150 to streetport it so might as well get some more horses while i have the chance....
