another problem.. aaaagghhh !!!

i wasnt satisfied with my idle because it idles at 1500 to 2000 so i called up a friend and helped me out.. we tested the tps and it was fine .. and then we tested the BAC valve and it read 12.6 to 12.8 so thats bad so went to the junkyard and got one.. and it read 11.4.. so now i put that on it still didnt work... we check the BAC agen after that it read 12.7 so its bad agen.. so we check the solenoid it was bad as well so i change both of them the BAC and then the solenoid as well... after that it got worst.. my idle is goin up and down and it sound kinda weird we tried timing it but as we move the crank angle sensor it gets worst so what should i do help pls !!! sevenstock 9 is on saturday already help !!

when my idle was messed up.. i ended up blocking off the air control vavle and it worked.

i had already removed the airpump and several other useless parts

RE_Fc3StaRr 10-26-06 01:06 PM

maybe i'll try that .. cuz i mean i tried replaceing all those and it got worst my idle goes up and down now and its making a weird noise ... i cant take out the air pump tho cuz i dont have headers yet..

RE_Fc3StaRr 10-26-06 02:01 PM

are there anymore suggestion?

Chuck 10-26-06 02:41 PM

The up and down idle is usually caused by the TPS being out of adjustment. After you did all the changeouts of the BAC's did you then go back and set the TPS and adjust the idle speed? Idle speed needs to be set with the initial set connector grounded (S5) or shorted (S4) and the engine up to normal op temp.

RE_Fc3StaRr 10-26-06 02:52 PM

oh tried that and then it gets worst the up and down gets faster lol i don know why

mazdaverx713b 10-26-06 04:18 PM

how are you adjusting the tps? do you have any air leaks at the BACV?

RE_Fc3StaRr 10-26-06 04:31 PM

nothing i guess.. my friend has this thing that he made to check the tps it has 4 wires and 2 light bulb thingy.. im at work right now.. i tried to see wassup with my motor again during my break and drove around the block yea its still the same the idle is not stable it keeps going up and down... like alot.. so i dont know wat im going to do know its a big head ache....

mazdaverx713b 10-26-06 04:42 PM

make sure you are using the bulb device correctly. you can also adjust the tps by way of voltage. have you messed with your variable resistor at all? if not, dont. also, i wouldnt mess with the cas. you can really do some frustrating damage if you dont mark the original position of that little guy. have you checked for vaccume leaks?

RE_Fc3StaRr 10-26-06 04:54 PM

my friend said that i dont have any vacuum leak .. where the variable resistor located and the cas.. mayn this car is too much lol so many problems

RE_Fc3StaRr 10-26-06 10:05 PM

i checked the bac agen and the solenoid right now and its good but my ilde is still high and my tps i messed around with that one too and still no work what should i do now..
now my idle is like 2000

Chuck 10-27-06 10:00 AM

Once you get the TPS adjusted by the twin light method, go back and check the setting using the resistance check. If it's set correctly, resistance should be near 1K Ohm, engine fully warmed up.

RE_Fc3StaRr 10-27-06 01:57 PM

what if that doesnt work ? what now? hahaha right now since we fixed the bac and the solenoid my idle is at 2k rite now.. it got worst hahaa l
