another one of those rebuild wont start threads
 
well i cranked my engine yesterday for the first time and no start. the guy who wired the car said maybe the injector plugs were on wrong he thought he plug the primary plugs into the 2ndaries maybe. so i switched the plugs today and still no start. there is fuel in the lines but no fuel gettin into the chambers. could it be my injectors are clogged? they were sitting outside for about 3 months so anybody have any ideas?

the could be clogged or not firing, check and make sure your primaries fire when cranking

Also, does the tach move when you crank?

yes the tach moves. there is fuel pressure in the lines just no fuel getting into the chambers

I had this same problem with my last TII. Change out the ecu with another one and see if it fires. It worked for me. The funnier thing is though, I shut the car down after about 10 minutes of running and switched the ecu's again. The one that wasn't working on startup was all of a sudden working again.

Another thing to check out would be your CAS. Since this was a rebuild, there is a good chance that your timing got moved.

first off verify it isn't getting fuel by spraying some starting fluid into the intake port vacuum nipples and crank the engine, this should verify you have everything but fuel.

unless you have another ECU juts laying around this is HORRIBLE advice, as far as diagnotics goes, i would start with a fuel pressure check, and after you have confirmed pressure in spec i would opt for a new fuel filter, if you havent already, then double check all wiring, and move on from there

its CHEAPEST/EASIEST----------->EXPENSIVE/COMPLICATED

this is the golden rule of diagnostics, why would you throw 6 and 7 hundred dollar parts at a car that just needs the fuel tank cleaned or a CAS adjustment or a new pump or a new filter or some new lines? or shit even if it needs new/rebuilt injectors all four installed a professional shop is cheaper than most of the Turbo ECU's i see

I dont mean to put you down but the ECU advice costs people alot of money who dont know any better, but the CAS was excellent advise

yea but im really leaning towards it bein bad injectors because like i said. there is pressurized fuel in the lines running all the way up to the injectors, so its like the injectors dont open i have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to the line and it says i have pressure. just none gettin into the chambers, i took out the spark plugs and smelled them and there is no fuel smell and the exhaust doesnt smell like gas and doesnt smoke or anything.

Okie, this should work.

You should be able to remove the CAS and basicly take a drill and somehow attatch it to the gear end of the CAS. Then spin the drill. You should hear the fuel injectors clicking or not.

I am guessing you could put a small tiny light bulb between fuel injector leads. That should light off if there is signal getting to them.
