another oil question

I checked my oil today and says it is full but my oil gauge is reading a little less then 4 kg/cm2. is that alright for my 88 rx7 GXL? i'm not a car buff so this might be a dumb question. thanks for your help.

The level of oil (assuming it's not absurdly low) has no effect on oil pressure - at least if the car is sitting still. If it's low and you're cornering, then you may see the pressure drop as the oil sloshes away from the oil pump. But at idle, assumimg a couple of quarts in the pan, then the pressure is not affected by the level. What is your pressure in pounds per square inch?

well, i'm not sure what it is in pounds per square inch but i read that 4.5-5.5 kg/cm2 is normal so i wasn't sure if being a little under four is alright or if i need to do something about it.

If the book says it should be 4-5kg, and you are just under 4, don't worry. It will always vary a bit depending on the weight of oil you have in there, as well as the temperature of the engine, the ambient air temperature, and the accuracy of the gauge.
You may want to read up a bit on these cars - There are a few things that may come in handy to know. Spend some time going through this site and you'll learn some of the common problem areas and their solutions. Good luck!
