Another Hybrid turbo thread

Before I go to a GT35 turbo (which might be a while) I want to put together another hybrid.

How have some of you guys put together yours?
I like the idea of keeping it simple for now, using the stock manifold and the downpipe I already have. I like to Td04's Ive seen.

For now I will be happy by increasing my hp to around 230-260 HP while keeping everything simple for now. I want low and midrange. This will be just temporary while I sell my bike and other stuff to get a Turblown manifold, Adaptronic ECU, BB Garrett GT35R, etc.

Really any garret style T3 or T4 frame turbo will pretty much allow for bolting up the compressor to your stock hot side. I found a T04B and sent my rotating assembly out for balance. I then bought a T3/T4 rebuild kit from GPopShop.com and rebuilt the turbo using new bearings and seals. Once back from balancing, assembly is pretty easy. Make sure you follow the GPopShop supplied torque spec sheet, and don't over torque the shaft nut. Evergreen turbo is who did my balancing. They recommend using a T-handle for torquing the shaft nut down so that it doesn't warp the shaft by providing counter-torque.

I'd highly recommend against taking it to a diesel shop, as most of them seem to do static balancing of turbochargers for some reason. Some have luck, but I have not.
