another how much hp thread...

Just wondering what you guys think my setup will make. This is all in a first gen (not relevant to the question, but hey) engine is a S5 TII (JDM, not that it matters) with a knightsports hybrid turbo (to4b compressor I'm told) medium sized FMIC, full 3" exhaust with cat and magnaflow straight through muffler. I have a FCD on there, but haven't ported teh wastegate yet. I have had the engine running a few times, but haven't driven it yet, I'm in the middle of painting the car. Just curious what you guys think that will put out power wise.
thanks
Sean

300 rwhp.

wtf man. psi?

if you havent ported the wastegate you will spike obviously i think you know that.

so i donno. seems like a dumb question.

Hmm, didn't realize anyone had responded to this. Sorry you think its a dumb question, I was just curious to think what people with similar setups were making so I know around what to expect. And yes I know that the boost will spike without porting the wastegate, its on my list of things to do before putting the car back on the road...
I guess the question should have be more like "here's my setup, who has somethign similar, and how much boost do you run and with that setup how much power are you making?"
Is that better ;)

anyone?

you think he can hit 300rwhp with that? that's...hold on lemme get out teh calc...350+fwhp, accounting for ~15% drivetrain losses. ummm....no? well, i mean, maybe if he's pushing a lot of boost through there, but he hasn't said :/

i hope you MEANT rwhp... not fwhp

ive got a streetported 90 jdm engine and a stock turbo with full exhaust and standalone making about 300 hp at the wheels.

with the to4 and the right supporting mods, ive seen people from 350 to 400 HP. plus your in a 1st gen, so you got a lighter body too...

(I think he's talking about flywheel horsepower)

Go to the dyno. Get your self a real number, and a tune. Two birds with one stone. Done.

like said above, i meant flywheel hp :)

wow, that's pretty good man, 300hp on nothing but exhaust and standlone fuel setup. did you have to upgrade your injectors or are you on stock t2 injectors as well??

phoenix7 07-11-07 05:38 PM

i say you have about 270hp untuned. I base it in the fact that I have no idea what I'm talking about.

what are your fuel mods?
what kind of fuel controller do you have to tune the injectors?
What boost? Boost controller?
