Amp ground
Hey, I am in the middle of putting in new a system in my '87 gxl. I have removed the storage bins and done some fiberglass work to the frame of the bins. Anyway, my question is...with the storage bins removed there are 2 bolts on each side of the frame on the back near the top. (sorry no camera, kinda like if you sat down in the area where the bins were, your back would hit these bolts). Are these good grounding points? A couple of high end amps going in, just want to make sure everything is good. I have ground down to bare metal and am using the bolt with a tooth washer with less than a foot of 2 guage wire for a ground. These bolts don't seem to be holding anything on. I just want to use the passenger side top bolt for my ground. I think that I am ok. Any input or a better idea for a ground is welcome. I want this system to have zero background noise. thanx
