aluminum and plastic belly pans
I have both cooling trays/belly pans for my fc. Problem is I can't figure out what size bolt I need. Anyone got any info. I searched under "cooling try" and "belly pan" to no avail.

the bolts that hold them on? they are the standard 10mm heads used on most parts in the engine bay. same as the fender bolts.
Uda man. Since I starded putting things back together properly I don't have leftover nuts and bolts like I used to. Thanks.
Hey you can drop off that aluminum one at my house for the $20 you owe me :)
Lol. Think I'll keep it. I'll pm u my phone # so we can get together about that.
No worries, Nader paid for you with parts to me for the 10thAE.
pics of the aluminum pan?
Mechanical I can do, not electronic. I don't know how to post pics on here.I suppose I could e-mail you a pic if you want?
make a stencil of that thing and sell it ( to me) so that I can have one, or we can make our own.!!!

This is the only picture I have now: https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1234995175 It is the 56-11Y piece and it covers the lower section subframe back to the tranny. |
Fastrotaries, you may be on to something. I know "a guy", I'mma see if he can make some of these.

is there any huge effect on the cooling when using one of these, i have a plastic one in perfect shape on my parts car and was wondering if it would be worth it to put it on my TII
^^Yes put it on
sweet i'll have to do that this weekend
I see. I've never seen the aluminum piece before. I wondered what those holes on the back of the subframe were for. Did they only come on certain models of FC?
really.. I had no clue about that extra tray. I wonder what happened to them all.
Possible they were removed to work on the car and lazy tards didn't put it back on?
If I remember correctly it was part of the "aero" package; not all FCs had them.

The panel helped lower the Cd (drag) down to a Cd of .29 by smoothing the underbody around the oil pan and transmission. The aluminum panel also helped reduce noise, but did nothing for cooling. The black plastic panel (56-111B in the picture) however is required for proper cooling and air flow through the radiator and oil cooler. |
if anyone is interested, i have the aluminum pan off of my 10AE and i can take a pic. i removed it to clean it and it just got put on the shelf..
yeah take a picture of it and post it.

Mark, will this fit my s5? The spare I dug out for you is fubar. The alum is torn from tossing parts of my brothers bed frame up in the cieling of the garage. If my good one won't fit an s5 you can have that one.
Not sure if it will fit a S5... you will have to try.
I don't see a reason it shouldn't since the sub frame is supposed to be the same for the S5 as the S4. and if it is ripped I'll still take it... I can rebuild it/re-weld it if need be. I have been getting pretty good at welding aluminum lately. |
I would love to have an AL belly pan...
I got a panzer plate for my A4 and its incredible. |
