alright wtf could have done this

so i just changed the secondary injectors today and finished the install of my elect. boost controller and now after putting it all back togeather and it started fine and then it started smoking like a freight train and for what reason i dont know. the only thing i have came up with is i might have bent the omp rod enough to make sqiurt oil at idle but that doesnt seem right or is there a way to adjust it, i just dont know why but its oil burning for a fact...

this is what i feel like everytime something happens to my car :wallbash: and this is me getting :ky:

it also quit boostin at all not it a n/a i dont even here the turbo any more but it was boosting fine then after driving for about 10 mins it just stopped boosting

now im am very sad :( :tear:

if it helps its a 87 t2 with exhuast

Rx_Pete 06-23-06 07:12 AM

maybe you've done a oil seal in your turbo and thats where its burning the oil

88t2romad 06-23-06 07:22 AM

color of oil?

torean 06-23-06 07:41 AM

take it all apart and inspect everything again and check the brittle omp hoses.....

88t2romad 06-23-06 08:44 AM

edit old post...

color of *smoke?*

boost_its_what_for_dinner 06-23-06 12:07 PM

smokes white and lingers alittle but not to long but i forgot to reconnect three vacuum lines to the metal lines on the front of the intake (headlight side) i just capped them off thinking they where the same three on the acv side that i dont need since i have block off plates but i just reinstalled the three lines to original location and we will see on my way to work today if that is it , but why would my car stop boosting? when it was boosting fine

white smoke= coolant(engine rebuild time) or excessive condensation meaning the climate is cold and humid(doubtful this time of year)

light blue smoke= oil burning, check your plugs, if they don't have any oil residue on them them i would suspect your turbo failed. if the plugs check ok then remove the TID and try spinning the turbo and check for shaft play.

my guess is it is oil burning, most people don't interpret smoke properly and call light blue smoke "white".

its probably your head gasket LOL

240sx 06-23-06 06:02 PM

could be injector gasket, lettiing way too much fuel in

boost_its_what_for_dinner 06-24-06 12:19 AM

well it is new gromets and o rings on injectors and it doesnt smoke now i put the three vacuum lines back on and now it only puffs some smoke when it gets warm but goes away while driving for a second... but when i drive for a little while it has a hard time starting back up after engine get warmer so i have to hold the pedal to the floor to get it started any suggestions and also if and when fuel cut hits will the boost gauge read 8.6 lbs or will it read factory boost and just spike or cut out becuase mine just run right under boost at 4k+ feels like a miss

If I read what you said correctly, sounds like you need to redo some of your ground wires.

boost_its_what_for_dinner 06-24-06 12:57 AM

well i replaced the ont from the bell housing to the fire wall with a 4 guage wire and cleaned the area up too. but isnt there supposed to be one near the starter side somewhere and can you ground each injector to the motor or do you have to have it wired with the factory plug and i need to rewire the fuel pump still but dontr exactl understand the procedure
