For all those who really appreciate an FC . . .
Hey everyone,
I just thought I would finally share some pictures of this beauty that I recently bought in July. I think it was well worth giving up my '89 GXL which was also in great condition for it. Tell me what you think and some suggestions to keep it in its condition... ie. the best products to use to condition the leather, keep the paint looking new, and to keep the engine in the top shape that it is in.... the entire car for that matter! Thanks. You can find the pics here: http://ca.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/iva....com/my_photos Enjoy! |
Black TII = teh win!

dont let that thing face an ontario winter. keep it parked, pllllleeeassseee :bigthumb:
i was born in brampton, i know how much snow toronto gets :( |
I get no snow ahahah, I drive my car all year with the top down. Very nice clean car, black FC's are by far the best IMO ofcourse. I bet that thing hasn't seen hardly any snow in it's lifetime.
Simply breathtaking. You could pass that as a new car and id believe it. Incredible!
I can't belive it, how did they keep it so nice, you truely have a wonderful FC
OMG its so clean why cant I ever get a deal like that. It so preaty i want one to maw. lol.
That thing is breath taking..............
As for products I swear by Mothers...........they are a little more expensive than Meguiars, but they dont leave it feelin greasy..... |
Hold on I am still cleaning shit up......
.... (10%) ....... (30%) ............ (55%) .................. (86%) ........................ (92%) .............................(100%) As far as cleaners all the stuff you buy at auto part stores = teh worthless crap. There should be a professional auto body and detail store somewhere around you. Go in there and just ask him what products to use. Armoral and shit will just crack your dash and most of the others will over time. What you are trying to avoid is using a different product for everything. Professional products will be combos were 3 bottles will do your whole car you can do the engine bay and rims and plastics with same cleaner and the leather and the dash with another. Just makes your job easier and look better. |
Nice Nice Nice!!! Keep it that way!!!
i just about jizzed my pants when i saw those pix. absoulutely beautiful. you even have the stock battery cover, something i've never seen. tint those windows so that you interior doesn't fade.
Love!!!
Damn, look at that interior. It's so rare to see any leather interior in the FCs to be that clean... wow!
i call BS! those picture were taken when the car came off the showroom floor! and then you photoshopped it to have 50k miles on it! na, im jk, that car is incredible...i wish i could get an RX7 like that..the interior makes it look like a thousand times cleaner than most decent looking interiors! good stuff man, im impressed!
First of all, thank you to everyone for such amazing comments! :bigthumb: I really appreciate them and I knew you guys would appreciate seeing the car. This car means everything to me, it was my dream car since i got my license at 16 and now at age 20 i have finally got my dream.

About the best leather conditioner around is Lexol. I have used it for years. I absolutely swear by it and have used it on all my leather goods since the 1970's. I use it 2 - 3 times a year on the leather seats of my summer driven only '90 RX. The interior is as clean and flawless as yours. Once conditioned, the look and feel lasts about 2 months. Not inexpensive. About $8.00 for an 8 oz bottle. You can find it at higher end leather sale and repair stores.
For the plasic and my vert top I use 303 Protectant. Icemark had recommended it. Also not cheap. About $12 US a 16 oz bottle. It does not attract dust at all and does not give you the cheap glossy look of the protectants you get at auto stores or Walmart. I found it at a marine supply store. Boat owners I know swear by it. Along with the UV block to prevent fading, the principlel benefit of a good protectant is to maintain the plastizers. They prevent plastic from drying and becoming brittle. The lousey plastic and plastizer content Mazda used in the 7 is responsible all the moans from owners about their broken interior parts. I have used Maguires but prefer Zaino waxes. Does not seem to last quite as long and is more expensive but it gives a much richer and deeper appearence. I know someone with a classic show car who uses Zaino. Some would say its the very best. Requires application of at least 3 solutions. Again not cheap. Search their website for more info. |
i thought S5's had a redline of 8,000.... nice car none the less, looks just like my TII about the same condition.
well in my truely haterous state that car is AWFUL!!!. i think its missing the rubber cover on the gas pedal .. i mean really who loses that on there car... oh cruel world!!!!..............looks around..um k ill give in it shoooo schweeeeT!
