For the purpose of what? I know and understand the benifits of injecting water into the intake?

its the same as water except try this....put water on the back of ur hand and blow on it...now do the same with alcohol....it evaparates alot colder and faster wich will cool down the intake charge a lot....as lons as u tap it before the elbow it should be fine...but i want others opinions...

It has potential, you are right about alcohol and evap. It would even provide extra fuel for the increase in density of the cooled air. How do you plan on injecting it, and what type of alcohol are we talking about?

Except water absorbs more heat than alcohol, the question would be what absorbs heat faster? Alcohol evaps at a lower temp.

Both are applicable, but usually people are in the quest for power, and since he doesn't have a forced induction motor, i would stick with the alcohol.

i dont remember off hand what the alcohol is called but its found in the pain section....mix 1 part that with 2 parts distilled water and the mixture is NON-FLAMMABLE. and more alcohol and theres a risk of it catching fire. Im working out the whole system so as far as how it will be injected im not sure....so is it possible?

Yes it is possible, and yes it is used by rotary owners currently and has been done for years. The use I refer to is the Sand Rail owners mostly. The new owner of the Project 86 (close friend of mine) has already installed a 13B-RE in it, and is installing 4 injectors to run just alcohol along with the regular 4 injectors running fuel. This is done in his case so he will not have to run an intercooler for his application. The alcohol will cool the intake charge enough that it acts like a VERY efficient FMIC, without the cooling issues related to using them sometimes.
