Airflow chart of Working ports, no aux ports, no vdi
Some guy told me that to see if the aux ports and vdi ports are working, just rev the car in neutral and the ports will move. Well, only my vdi ports move, my aux ports didn't move. I got curious and started testing the aux ports. Pumped air into the vacume lines and the ports open. Put voltage to the solenoid and the ports open too.
I then wanted to see the difference between working vdi+aux ports VS. no vdi VS. no aux ports. I did it by disconnecting the plugs to the soleniods. Here are the results. The following are the airflow graph (pesudo dyno graphs) vs. RPM or the 3. Anything after 4000rpm with the aux ports not opening is dead. mods: RB turbo back on NA, Cone intake, SAFC. I am waiting to see what the pineapple sleeves will do... |
