air pump interference
 

ok im sitting at work and just had a thought. i am turboing my 6port s4, with a t2 intake mani, a t04s and hks manifold. and i think the manifold puts the turbo further forward than a stock t2 would. which would put the compressor right where my air pump is supposed to be.

i am removing all emissions except the air pump for now because i will have to go through inspection. i was just gonna go through with no boost and the a/p straight to the cat.

i guess my question is: is the t2 airpump different or located elsewhere, that it wouldnt interfere with the turbo? i have never really inspected a t2.

has anyone experianced this and found a solution?

i might have to swap on all my t2 stuff, and just leave off the turbo manifold and turbo and tune it na to get through inspection and thenpull the airpump off and put the turbo and related crap back on.

any ideas?

aight... screw it. i will just fab up some channel stock aluminum and mount the air pump where p/s goes. it only has to last 15 miles to get through inspection and then its gone
